Three men convicted in series of armed robberies including two in Gladstone Park on Chicago’s NW Side

After a 5-week trial in U.S. District Court in Chicago, a federal jury on July 21 convicted three defendants facing charges in a series of 14 armed robberies and attempted robberies at businesses in 2023 and 2024, including two Gladstone Park stores on Chicago’s Northwest Side.

The defendants, who were identified by the U.S. Department of Justice as Xavier Harris, age 27, of Chicago, Ardaries Harris, age 28, of Chicago, and Jordan Fox, age 26, of Chicago, were found guilty of conspiracy, robbery and firearm offenses, the justice department said.

The jury found that Fox brandished firearms in nine of the robberies; Ardaries Harris brandished firearms in eight of the robberies; and Xavier Harris brandished firearms in three of the robberies, according to the department. The jury also found that Fox discharged a machine gun during the robbery of the Irish Nobleman Pub, 1367 W. Erie St.,on May 4, 2024, and that Ardaries Harris aided Fox’s discharge of a machine gun, the department said. The convictions carry a maximum sentence of life in prison…
