Jayden Williams, 22-year-old Georgia mayor, loses city credit cards amid investigation into alleged questionable spending

Georgia city’s youngest-ever mayor has been temporarily stripped of duties and access over his alleged spending habits. Stockbridge has elected 22-year-old Jayden Williams to govern the city, sworn in as mayor just six months ago. But he’s currently under investigation after his own city council launched a probe after “information” was allegedly presented to finance officials and the city attorney last week.

His spending has been put under scrutiny. The city council passed a resolution on July 17 to restrict Williams’ access to any non-public areas and his use of city vehicles. He’s also been restricted from using city funds through his city-issued credit card or fuel card. The city council has also ordered Williams to hand over his credit cards and all city property by July 20…
