NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Just minutes after a credit card was stolen from a vehicle in East Nashville, authorities arrested the suspect believed to be responsible thanks to a purchase made at a fast-food restaurant.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by News 2, officers responded to a home in the 1400 block of Otay Street on July 12 after the victim reported his vehicles “had been burglarized during the overnight hours.”

The victim reportedly told law enforcement that several items were taken from the vehicles, including his wallet, credit cards, wallet tracker and a sweatshirt. When officers viewed the victim’s camera footage, they stated they saw someone with black and white backpack and red shoes enter one of the vehicles.
In addition, the footage also showed another person—described as wearing dark shorts, a shark hoody and a dark backpack—go into a vehicle outside of the home.

At some point, the victim told officers that his stolen credit cards had been used to make a purchase at a McDonalds in the 2800 block of Gallatin Pike, as well as a Mapco in the 700 block of Main Street…
