Stormy start to Thursday; severe storms possible this evening

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Showers and storms continue to develop and move across northern and central Kansas this morning. Storms will move out by late morning, and skies will become partly cloudy. Expect highs today to range from the mid 80s to the low 90s across central Kansas; western Kansas will have highs in the 90s and low 100s.

Another round of storms will develop in western Kansas this afternoon and evening and move east overnight. Storms will be more numerous across the state, bringing heavy rainfall at times. A few storms in southwest Kansas could become strong to severe, producing damaging winds and some large hail initially.

Friday will start wet across central Kansas before storms roll out by midday; skies will then become partly to mostly sunny. Temperatures will be slightly hotter in the low to mid 90s, but with higher humidity, it will feel even hotter…
