Tacoma construction project to mean fewer parking spots in this neighborhood

City officials started construction on a project to improve sidewalks and lighting in Tacoma’s Hilltop, which means that parking in the area might temporarily be limited.

The project between Earnest South Brazill Street and South 15th Street will result in new street furniture, street trees and landscaping, according to Jon Kulju, a project manager in the city’s Public Works department. The construction will last from July 2026 through November 2026, according to the city.
