LANSING, Mich. — Two years after a West Michigan mother began pushing for change following the death of her six-year-old son, the Rowan Act is set to become Michigan law.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer is expected to sign the bipartisan legislation Thursday, changing when Michigan State Police can issue an Amber Alert in cases involving missing children.
