DOWNTOWN ZIONSVILLE HAS long been a charming destination for its many locally owned shops, galleries, restaurants, and small-town hospitality. But what happened in the early morning hours of July 10 has left many in the community rattled, sad, and anxious for answers.
The former Kogan Antiques and Lighting on South Main Street was heavily damaged after someone set fire to an Israeli flag (which hung alongside an American flag) on the building’s exterior. The flames spread quickly through the vacant 114-year-old cedar shake building, causing at least $150,000 in damage.
Liz Esra, who owns Cobblestone Zionsville on Main Street, says, “I walked over the next morning, saw the building, and was literally sick to my stomach.”…
