2 Alabama Maple Street restaurants sold to Biscuit Belly, 1 closing

Alabama diners will see changes at Maple Street Biscuit Company after parent company Cracker Barrel sold the breakfast chain to Biscuit Belly. This Kentucky-based restaurant brand plans to expand its footprint across the South.

The deal includes 35 Maple Street restaurants, while 16 locations that were not part of the sale are expected to close permanently.

Two Alabama restaurants were included in the sale and will remain open as they transition to the Biscuit Belly brand over the next 18-24 months.
