FORT MORGAN, Ala. (WKRG) — At least 22 people were rescued from the Gulf on Thursday afternoon, as dangerous rip currents created life-threatening conditions in Fort Morgan, according to officials.

Red flags are flying along Alabama’s beaches, warning beachgoers to stay out of the Gulf, but despite the warnings, first responders say people are still choosing to get into the water.
The Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Department said their crews have responded to at least 22 water rescues on Thursday as of 4:30 p.m.
So far, at least six people have been transported to the hospital, and two were airlifted in critical condition…
