CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) – Behind a LIDAR device, Corporal Lucas Curtis keeps an eye out for drivers speeding along Hull Street Road as part of the Chesterfield County Police Department’s latest traffic blitz.
Corporal Curtis is no stranger to this stretch where he’s seen drivers reach speeds in the triple digits.
“A gentleman was going to pick up his sister and I watched him accelerate all the way up to 100 to 102 cutting in and out of traffic,” he said.
Just one of the reasons the Chesterfield County Police Department is doing another traffic blitz with help from the public.
