More than four decades after Massachusetts State Police Trooper George Hanna was shot and killed in the line of duty, his family says they are still fighting for justice after a landmark court ruling made his convicted killer eligible for parole.
Hanna was killed during a traffic stop in Auburn on Feb. 26, 1983. His daughters, Debbie and Kim Hanna, were just 13 and 14 years old when their father was killed.
“I remember, like it was yesterday,” Debbie Hanna told 25 Investigates’ Kerry Kavanaugh. “He put on his uniform. I walked him out to his cruiser, and I watched him drive up the hill. And that was the last time I saw him.”…
