A city in Dakota County is asking residents to be alert after reports of fishing line being strung across playground equipment at a local park.
Earlier this week, the City of Empire took to Facebook to draw attention to fishing line on equipment at Sachs Park.
In response to the issue, the city says it has worked with the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office to increase patrols in the area and posted signage at the playground’s entrance.
The city urged residents to call 911 if they see fishing line at the park and to not attempt to remove it in order to allow law enforcement to “respond, photograph the scene and properly document the incident.”…
