On their Wednesday lunch break, they walked out of MedStar Washington Hospital Center and stood on Irving Street in 90 degree heat, to protest the hospital’s decision to close one of its two postpartum units.
Unit 5F closing means 11 beds lost and eight nurses reassigned, according to a union representing registered nurses at the facility…
