LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Demolition is now underway at the former Grant Sawyer State Office Building in downtown Las Vegas, marking the start of a major redevelopment project. State leaders said tearing down the decades-old building will pave the way for nearly 1,000 new housing units in the Cashman District.
The demolition clears the way for one of Southern Nevada’s largest planned housing redevelopment projects, with homes expected to start in the $400,000 range.
