COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — More clouds today, and we will continue warming over the next couple of days. Then hot and muggy Sunday and early next week as more rain returns.

Good Friday morning! The final tracks of Tuesday’s tornadoes are out, and it is quite impressive how close the two Muskingum County tornadoes were in both time and location. The first EF0 tornado started near Fultonham around 2:27 PM and continued east-southeast for almost 16 miles toward Blue Rock, ending around 2:47 PM. The second tornado was an EF1 that started in South Zanesville just 23 minutes later, at 3:10 PM, and only about 2 miles north of the first track. It continued east-southeast for almost 9 miles before ending in Philo around 3:21 PM. The first EF0 tornado had maximum winds around 75 mph, and the second EF1 tornado had maximum winds up to 105 mph.
Our temperatures and humidity the last couple of days have been very comfortable, but we will be warming up heading into the weekend. Today we will have more clouds as we start out in the upper 50s and warm to around 81. We may see a few peeks of sunshine; however, we will remain mostly cloudy through the afternoon with comfortable, low humidity. There may be a stray shower or sprinkle today. However, with the low humidity, most, if any, rain that falls should evaporate before reaching the ground. More sunshine returns Saturday with morning temps around 61, then warming to a high around 84. Humidity creeps up a little Saturday with mostly sunny skies.
Sunday and early next week will be hot and muggy with scattered showers and storms. Sunday will be mostly sunny with more afternoon clouds and a high around 88. There is a 30% chance of isolated storms later in the day. Monday and Tuesday will each have a 60% chance of rain with scattered storms. We may get a few strong storms as well. We warm to around 91 Monday, then 89 Tuesday. High humidity will make it feel a few degrees warmer…
