MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WANE) – A club soccer team based in Fort Wayne is coming home with a national title.
On Thursday, Fort Wayne United’s 2012 girls team outlasted CarShield FC Academy (Mo.) in a penalty kick shootout to win a U.S. Youth Soccer (USYS) national championship in the U14 Super Division. Both teams played to a scoreless draw in regulation, forcing the penalty kick shootout.
