MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A judge on Thursday sentenced a Prichard man to 99 years in prison for the fatal shooting of a man in 2023.
LaCedrick Napoleon Davis showed no emotion as Mobile County Circuit Judge Vicki Davis – no relation to the defendant – read his sentence for shooting Cedric Lynch Jr. to death. But her pronouncement prompted audible gasps on both sides of the courtroom.
“You laid in wait in that utility room,” the judge said. “You waited for Mr. Lynch to arrive. … All that time, you could have stopped yourself. And you didn’t.”…
