Beef-a-Roo customers flock to locally owned Freeport location

FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) – As several Rockford-area Beef-a-Roo restaurants sit empty due to recent financial problems, the locally owned location in Freeport tells a different story.

Delbert Bunker, who co-owns the Beef-a-Roo at 1804 S. West Ave., says many customers from around the area have started showing up at his restaurant.

“We have had people driving over from Rockford and Winnebago County, and we’re trying to do everything we can to welcome them,” Bunker said…
