Hawai’i health officials confirm 2 new cases of cyclosporiasis

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A vacation can leave behind more than memories. Hawaiʻi health officials have confirmed two more cases of cyclosporiasis in residents who became infected while traveling outside the state.

The cases raised Hawaiʻi’s total for 2026 to three, yet officials said there is no evidence the illness is spreading in local communities.
