A stalled front combined with plentiful moisture in this region will cause pockets of heavier rain from showers and thunderstorms in southeastern North Carolina into eastern South Carolina today. Best coverage of thunderstorms will be during this afternoon and evening. Flooding will be a concern thanks to slow-moving downpours coupled with saturated soils. As a result, urban flooding and flooding of local streams, creeks and rivers are possible. This will likely lead to travel delays in this part of the country.
