Asheville church offers space for healing after recent violence

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — New Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church presented ways for the community to come together in support and prayer after recent shootings in Asheville.

Organizers say it’s a place for all those who are hurting, using worship, gospel, encouragement and honest conversation to support one another.

“I just want people to know that you’re welcome here, that this is a safe space. And that you will be met with love. You will be met with kindness and that you will be met with the healing that you need. Healing is not a quick fix.
