6th juvenile charged in Raleigh’s July 4 violence, police say

A 15-year-old from Durham County was arrested in connection to the shootings and violence that erupted during Raleigh’s July 4 teen takeovers, according to Raleigh police.

Investigators say the teen was taken into custody Friday and is believed to have been involved in the shootings that occurred in the Brier Creek area during the holiday weekend.

The teenager faces the following charges:

  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill
  • Two counts of Discharging a Firearm into Occupied Property
  • Felony Riot
  • Going Armed to the Terror of the Public
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Minor
