Pittsburgh tends to get less attention than its larger Pennsylvania neighbour, Philadelphia, and yet, it can boast of its fair share of achievements and of producing plenty of talented people.
Known historically for its key place within the United States’ steel industry, Pittsburgh has also produced lots of leading, globally famous figures. Musicians such as George Benson and Christina Aguilera, actors like Jeff Goldblum and Michael Keaton, and even the pop art pioneer Andy Warhol all came from the city.
But for all the stars it has produced, Pittsburgh, it’s fair to say, has not led the way in terms of rap music. In terms of star power, it doesn’t compare to the likes of New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta or even Philly, but still, it does boast a vibrant rap scene.
