Sold-Out SeaMonkey Christmas in July 5K Raises $3,200 for Pace Center for Girls Manatee

Christmas spirit arrived early in Bradenton as runners, walkers, volunteers and local businesses came together for the SeaMonkey Christmas in July 5K, a festive community event benefiting Pace Center for Girls Manatee.

Held Saturday, July 25, at G.T. Bray Park, the inaugural tropical-themed fun run and walk was organized by SeaMonkey Apparel in partnership with Runner’s Culture Events. The event sold out, bringing participants together for a morning of exercise, holiday fun and support for a valuable Manatee County organization.

Following the event, SeaMonkey Apparel announced that the 5K raised $3,200 for Pace Center for Girls Manatee. Organizers also collected multiple boxes of donated items for the organization.

The combination of financial contributions and donated supplies will help Pace continue providing education, counseling, life-skills development and other support services for girls and young women in the community.

Supporting Brighter Futures for Manatee County Girls

Pace Center for Girls Manatee is based in Bradenton and is part of a statewide network that has served more than 40,000 girls and young women since Pace was founded in 1985.

Pace programs combine academics with counseling, mental-health support and individualized services designed around each girl’s strengths and needs. The organization’s goal is to help participants overcome challenges, succeed in school and build healthier, more productive futures…
