FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCSC) — The 24th annual Folly Beach Wahine Classic wrapped up Sunday, drawing more than 250 competitors to what organizers call the largest all-female surf contest on the East Coast.
The event brought together surfers of all ages and skill levels, from a 2-year-old competing in the push-in division to athletes in the Goddess division for women 50 and older.
Competitors traveled from across the United States, including Florida, California and Puerto Rico, as well as Brazil.
