WGHP — The forecast gives us a bit of a reality check this week after very soggy conditions and cooler temperatures last week. We will have rain chances in the forecast throughout the week. Temperatures will return to near normal, along with summertime humidity.
On Monday, we will see partly cloudy skies. A stray shower is possible in the afternoon, but with less than a 20% chance, with high temperatures in the upper 80s.
Tuesday is worth watching with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Some could be strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of North Carolina in a level two, marginal risk for severe weather on Tuesday. Our main threat would be damaging winds.
