First Alert issued Tuesday as severe storms threaten Philadelphia region

A First Alert has been issued from 8 a.m. to midnight Tuesday for the entire Philadelphia region as multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to move through.

The storms could produce flash flooding, damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes.

Humidity is already elevated and is expected to continue rising overnight, creating a more favorable environment for strong-to-severe thunderstorms heading into Tuesday.

By Wednesday, skies turn partly sunny, but there’s still a chance of some scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon, and that possibility stays with us again on Thursday…
