NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – As summer begins to wind down, people are flocking to Santa Fe Plaza for the traditional Spanish Market.
The market had over 160 local vendors over the weekend. The market featured colonial art including tinwork, weaving, woodcarving and painting. Vendors said it’s about much more than just the art. “It’s also important to be here to educate the public as to who New Mexico is, what the traditional arts are and that they’ve been carried on for generations,” Vendor Arlene Cismerossnea said.
