DUNWOODY, Ga. — Dunwoody City Council members will vote Monday on the second reading of a master plan, related variances and a special-use permit for a Kroger Marketplace with a gas station and drive-thru pharmacy in a shopping center on Ashford Dunwoody Road.
The Kroger Marketplace is expected to revitalize the Perimeter Village shopping center in the heart of the Central Perimeter retail district following Walmart’s closure in 2024. Residents living behind the shopping center raised concerns during public comments at the July 13 meeting about truck delivery noise and requested more restrictive delivery hours.
Truck delivery hours are restricted from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday, as outlined in one of the developer’s 17 requested variances. Others pertain to tree plantings, additional pedestrian paths and landscaped islands, and a floating easement to accommodate future development of the Dunwoody Trail Master Plan.
