ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An immersive experience is bringing the words of a historical poet to life for two nights in Albany. The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy will offer a journey through Poe’s writings paired with themed cocktails.

The touring event will take over Swyer Theatre at The Egg on Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29. Each 90-minute experience features theatrical storytelling that will highlight four of Poe’s most beloved stories, each accompanied by handcrafted cocktails, or mocktails upon request.
The setlist:
- Tale 1:The Tell-Tale Heart — paired with the “Pale Blue Eye”
- Tale 2:The Black Cat — paired with “The Cat’s Meow”
- Tale 3:The Raven — paired with the “Nevermore”
- Tale 4:The Masque of the Red Death — paired with the “Cocktail of the Red Death”
General admission tickets can be purchased onlinefor $68.25 or VIP Front Row tickets are available for $84. Showtimes are selected at checkout.
Guests must be 21 years of age or older with valid ID. Attendees are encouraged to wear cocktail attire to the event.
