LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The owner of a Lake Worth Beach bakery who was arrested during a high-profile immigration enforcement operation is now facing a federal criminal charge of illegally reentering the United States after being deported.
Jacob Jeremias Zapeta-Castro is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in federal court in West Palm Beach.
A newly filed criminal complaint accuses Zapeta-Castro, a Guatemalan citizen, of returning to the United States without receiving permission from the U.S. Attorney General or the Secretary of Homeland Security.
