A shooting last night in northeast Charlotte left one person clinging to life after bullets rang out near one of the city’s busiest crossroads, authorities said.
MEDIC crews found a victim with life-threatening wounds near the intersection of Eastway Drive and North Tryon Street at about 7:30 p.m. and rushed the person to a nearby hospital, while police locked down the scene and started combing for clues.
What officials reported so far
According to WSOC, MEDIC said crews located one person with serious injuries at the Eastway and North Tryon intersection, then transported the individual to an area hospital.
The station reported that no additional information, including details on a suspect or what might have led up to the shooting, had been released when its story was published.
