A Hopkinsville man is facing a felony domestic violence charge after police say he struck his father in the head with a blunt object, sending the victim to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to a Hopkinsville Police Department citation, officers were dispatched to Jennie Stuart Medical Center shortly after 1 p.m. Friday to investigate an assault. Hospital staff told officers the victim had suffered significant head injuries. The victim told police his son, Lamarcus Hickman Jr., struck him in the back of the head with an unidentified blunt object. The victim required 10 staples to close the wound.
