Bar owner jailed as noise complaint leads to confrontation with Escambia County deputies

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — An Escambia County bar owner is behind bars facing several charges.

Deputies say a loud music complaint at Our Spot on W Michigan Avenue turned into a physical confrontation with law enforcement early Sunday morning.

Cortney Wright, 40, is now charged with:

  • battery on a law enforcement officer
  • resisting without violence
  • operating a bottle club without a license
  • obstruct officers where beverages are sold
  • marijuana possession
  • noise ordinance
