The Strait of Hormuz’ standoff half way around the world has pushed CNY gas prices to $4.25 a gallon

Renewed hostilities shutting down the Strait of Hormuz have triggered another sharp jump in gas prices at the pump.

In Central New York, drivers are paying well over $4 a gallon, which is 14 cents over the national average. In Syracuse, a gallon of regular gas now costs $4.25. That’s nearly a dime more than a gallon of gas cost last week…
