SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Three types of trees were likely the most trees damaged in Saturday evening storms in Sioux Falls and nearby towns, said John Ball, a forestry specialist with South Dakota State University.
Ball said he noted the trees that were shown in news footage of the Saturday storms. The trees he saw frequently were silver maples, green ash and Siberian elm.
