Secret Witness of Northern Nevada announced Monday, July 27, that its founder, Reno businessman Don Richter, has died.
Richter died of natural causes at age 86 on Saturday, July 25, the organization said.
Richter founded Secret Witness in 1979. The organization said it was one of the first Crime Stopper organizations in the country and has served as a model for similar organizations throughout North America.
