ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — After an active morning, more showers and storms are expected to fire up in New Mexico for the rest of Tuesday.
High-res model guidance has amped up the coverage in the last several runs. Most of southeast New Mexico is likely to stay dry. Meanwhile, the rest of the state has at least some type of chance for showers and storms.
Storms are expected to start forming by late morning, initially over the high terrain. The highest coverage is looking to take shape by dinnertime. This will also be the best time that the Albuquerque metro will have to see storms but we could see anything even in the early afternoon…
