PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the morning hours in the Valley. Warm and humid conditions with temperatures in the 90s will climb to 110 degrees this afternoon. It’s a First Alert Weather Day for the Extreme Heat Warning in effect all day.
An Extreme Heat Warning for the Valley and much of the deserts of the state has been extended through Sunday evening. Temperatures are expected to stay dangerously hot. Look for Valley highs near 114 by Thursday and near 116 degrees by Friday. That will tie the daily record on Friday.
By Saturday and Sunday, we are likely to break daily high temperature records with a forecast high of 117 degrees on Saturday and 115 on Sunday. Morning lows are expected to be uncomfortably warm all week long in the low 90s, which could break daily records for warmest lows as well…
