Former Kissimmee city attorney sues city alleging retaliatory termination

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Former Kissimmee City Attorney Olga Sanchez de Fuentes is suing the city after she was fired in February, claiming her termination was retaliatory and violated Florida’s Public Sector Whistleblower’s Act.

Sanchez de Fuentes and her attorneys allege in the lawsuit, filed July 21, that she was fired after raising concerns about Mayor Jackie Espinosa’s connection to the city’s Business Boost 2.0 grant program in December 2025. Espinosa and her family received $50,000 total through the program for three businesses.
