Former employee accused of stealing Pennsylvania company’s truck arrested in Ocala

A former employee accused of stealing a Pennsylvania-based company’s vehicle was arrested in Ocala after deputies spotted the stolen pickup truck pulling into a local pawn shop.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, 37-year-old Jeremy William Edwards was previously employed by PPG Industries. On Friday, May 1, PPG Industries reportedly terminated Edwards and instructed him to return his company-issued Chevrolet pickup truck.

Despite numerous attempts by the company to recover the truck via emails, phone calls, and written correspondence, Edwards allegedly refused to return it and intentionally avoided communication with his former employer…
