Update: The National Weather Service estimates the tornado that damaged the Appleton/Menasha area was an EF3. This is still a preliminary estimate but upgraded from the previous estimate of an EF2.
APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) — Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson said Tuesday that an official determination from the National Weather Service is required before the county can pursue state or federal disaster aid following a storm that struck the Fox Valley area.
