HONOLULU (KHON2) — Need a fresh flower lei for a graduation, special event or last-minute celebration? There is now a vending machine for that.
The Orchid Lei Company now has fresh lei vending machines across Oʻahu, making it easier for residents and visitors to pick up a lei without having to stop at a traditional flower shop.
Flower supply following the rain depleted, but remains strong
The vending machines stock fresh orchid leis along with other floral items. Depending on the location, customers may also find artificial leis, wrist leis and lei po’o (flower crown).

The machines are already popping up at several popular hotels in Waikiki and Ko Olina, including:

- Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa (1st floor next to the lobby)
- Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club (Near the entrance)
A lei kiosk is also available at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. Prices could range from $25 to $55, depending on the selection.
Lei your way: Quick, budget-friendly alternative lei
The company said the goal is simple: make it more convenient to pick up a fresh lei, whether it’s for a graduate, an honored guest, an event host or simply because you want to share aloha.
As an added surprise, some machines even contain randomly hidden $100 gift cards to local restaurants, encouraging customers to support Hawaiʻi businesses.
