WAIPIO, Hawaii (Island News) — Koa Vista II, a second phase of an affordable housing development in Waipio, held a blessing and dedication ceremony for the new homes on Tuesday.
Koa Vista II is located off Ka Uka Boulevard across from Waipio Costco offering affordable apartment options. On Tuesday, the community welcomed a seven-story, 97-unit family rental apartment building. Residents who qualify for a unit must earn up to 80% of the area median income.
Koa Vista is a two-phase development which will have 192 senior and family rental apartment units housed in two mid-rise buildings. Koa Vista I, the first phase of the development, was completed in 2025. These Waipio apartments are a part of the Koa Ridge master-planned community…
