PLUM TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A driver escaped injury on Monday afternoon after his vehicle veered off the road and traveled 200 feet down a ditch in Plum Township, police say.
According to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police in Franklin, the single-vehicle accident occurred on July 27 at 5:17 p.m. on Sunville Road, just south of Russell Road in Plum Township.
State police report that Erik J. Wingard, 40, of Pittsburgh, was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Express van northbound on Sunville Road when his van exited the east side of the roadway and entered a roadside ditch. The vehicle traveled approximately 200 feet along the ditch before striking a deeper section of the embankment, which brought the van to a final rest, the report said…
