In the midst of Independent Retailer Month, Commas Food Hall spotlights small businesses to help them get off the ground in downtown Silver Spring.
Commas is designed for chefs and entrepreneurs who want to grow a concept with fewer barriers to entry. It brings together independent vendors, each operating their own dedicated kitchen spaces rather than under a single brand.
Located inside the Ellsworth Place mall on Colesville Road, Commas doesn’t serve as a food court, but as a community-oriented food hall. General Manager Yecenia Marroquin describes it as “a food court you’re passing through and has chain restaurants, while a food hall has owner-operated businesses.”…
