LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A couple of miles southeast of Las Vegas, semi-automatic gunfire echoed through the El Dorado Valley at the site of an approved 157-acre data center. However, Henderson’s mayor said the project may be a misfire.
On Nov. 13, 2025, the Henderson Planning Commission approved the application from Trammell Crow, one of the largest developers in the U.S., to build a 157-acre complex consisting of five data center buildings.
“The [conditional use permit] provides a six-year period for the applicant to secure an end user,” A City of Henderson spokesperson told 8 News Now in a written statement. “No additional applications or submittals have been received.”
The site, located at the northeast corner of Bentonite Ave. and Whidbey Rd., is owned by Eldorado Hills LLC and sits on the site of the Desert Hills Shooting Club and Pro Gun Vegas…
