Portland woman who pulled ICE agent’s mask off sentenced, says she didn’t know if he really was a fed

A 42-year-old woman on Monday was sentenced to time served – a night spent in jail – for pulling a federal immigration officer’s face mask off.

In April, Temika Gardner pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor assault, which occurred as she attempted to help free a man detained by immigration enforcement officers in East Portland last fall.
