The Charlotte City Council will reconvene in committees next week after a monthlong recess, picking back up on several key issues that could have sweeping impacts on residents’ day-to-day lives.
They haven’t had a full meeting since June 22, when Mayor Vi Lyles said her goodbyes ahead of her early retirement. Also in their last meeting, the council appointed Robert Harrington to finish her term. He took office at the start of council’s break and hasn’t yet helmed a meeting.
