COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Happy Wednesday! Dangerous heat index readings were in the forecast again this afternoon. While Columbus, Ga felt like 108 degrees, Americus hit 121 degrees for the heat index, and Ellaville hit 120 degrees.
Rest of the week: Temperatures will slowly but surely cool off in the forecast thanks to today’s front. Highs will sit in the upper 90s for the rest of the week, but heat index readings will be closer to the real temperature.
